Unpacking and Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tapes from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Install ink tanks: Open ink tank cover, insert tanks following color labels (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in rear tray, load up to 100 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.

WARNING! Do not touch printhead or ink tank contacts. Keep printer horizontal during setup.

Initial Setup and Configuration

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts on OLED display.

Ink System and Refilling

  3. Insert bottle into correct tank; ink will flow automatically until full.
  4. Replace cap; close cover. Run nozzle check if print quality declines.

CAUTION! Use only Canon GI-90 series ink bottles. Do not mix colors.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning exterior. Use soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids.

Printhead Cleaning: Via printer software or menu to resolve clogged nozzles.

Roller Cleaning: Use damp cloth if paper dust accumulates on rollers.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners. Keep ink bottles sealed when not in use.
