Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove packaging materials and tape from printer.
  2. Install ink tanks: Open ink tank cover, insert tanks until they click into place.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in front tray, load up to 200 sheets.
  4. Connect power cable to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Turn on printer using POWER button.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink tank contacts. Keep printer horizontal during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts and software installation.

  1. Install software: Insert CD or download from Canon website, follow installation wizard.
