Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging tapes and protective materials from inside and outside the printer.
  2. Install Ink Tanks: Open front cover, remove tank caps, fill with genuine Canon GI-series ink, and secure caps.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust paper guides in rear tray for desired paper size.
  4. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into printer and wall outlet.
  5. Power On: Press POWER button to initialize printer.

WARNING! Place printer on a flat surface to prevent tipping. Keep ink tanks upright to avoid leaks.

First-Time Configuration
