Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, insert PG-245 black and CL-246 color cartridges, close cover.
  2. Load paper: Adjust paper guide in rear tray for A4 or Letter size.
  3. Power connection: Plug AC adapter into printer and wall outlet.
  4. Install software: Insert CD or download from Canon website, follow on-screen instructions.
  5. Wireless setup: Press Wi-Fi button, use WPS or connect via computer setup.

  3. Remove protective tape from new cartridge, insert until click.
  4. Close cover; printer will initialize.

Print Head Cleaning: Via maintenance tab in driver if print quality declines. Nozzle Check: Print pattern to verify ink flow.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Exterior: Use soft, dry cloth. Scanner glass: Use lint-free cloth with mild glass cleaner.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners. Avoid water near openings.
