Installation & Unpacking

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet.

  1. Remove all tape and protective materials from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges: Open front cover; insert cartridges into respective slots (Black: PGI-570, Color: CLI-571) until they click.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust paper guides in rear tray; load up to 100 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect Power: Plug AC adapter into printer and wall outlet.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow initial setup prompts.

  1. Align Print Head: Printer will automatically align after ink installation.
