Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Computer or mobile device
  • USB cable (optional)
  • Power cable
  • Ink bottles (provided)
  • Setup CD or downloaded drivers

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials and tape from the printer and accessories.
  2. Install Ink Tanks: Open the front cover and install the four GI-90 ink tanks (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the printer and plug into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Paper Loading: Load plain paper into the rear paper tray, adjusting the paper guides to fit the paper size.
  5. Initial Setup: Turn on the printer and follow the on-screen instructions to align print heads and initialize ink system.
  6. Connect to Computer: Connect via USB cable or set up wireless connection using the WPS button or manual network setup.
  7. Install Drivers: Install the printer drivers from the provided CD or download from Canon's website.
  8. Test Print: Print a test page to verify proper installation and print quality.
Warning: Do not touch the print head nozzles or electrical contacts. Handle ink tanks carefully to avoid spills.
