Wireless Setup Guide

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Canon Pixma printer
  • Wi-Fi router with network name and password
  • Computer or mobile device
  • Power cable
  • Ink cartridges (if not pre-installed)

Step-by-Step WiFi Setup

  1. Unpack and Prepare: Remove all packaging materials from the printer. Install ink cartridges if not pre-installed.
  2. Power On: Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. Wait for the printer to initialize.
  3. Access WiFi Settings: Press the WiFi button on the printer's control panel until the WiFi indicator light flashes.
  4. Connect to Network: On your computer or mobile device, go to WiFi settings and connect to the printer's temporary network (usually "CanonXXXX").
  5. Configure Connection: Open a web browser and enter the setup URL (typically 192.168.1.1) or use the Canon PRINT app to select your home WiFi network.
  6. Enter Credentials: Enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and password when prompted.
  7. Complete Setup: Wait for the connection to establish. The WiFi light should become solid when connected successfully.
  8. Test Connection: Print a test page or scan a document wirelessly to verify the connection.
Important: Ensure your printer and router are within range (typically within 10 meters) for optimal wireless performance.
