Installation Guide
Tools Needed:
- Canon Pixma printer
- Wi-Fi router with network name and password
- Computer or mobile device
- Power cable
- Ink cartridges (if not pre-installed)
Step-by-Step WiFi Setup
- Unpack and Prepare: Remove all packaging materials from the printer. Install ink cartridges if not pre-installed.
- Power On: Connect the power cable and turn on the printer. Wait for the printer to initialize.
- Access WiFi Settings: Press the WiFi button on the printer's control panel until the WiFi indicator light flashes.
- Connect to Network: On your computer or mobile device, go to WiFi settings and connect to the printer's temporary network (usually "CanonXXXX").
- Configure Connection: Open a web browser and enter the setup URL (typically 192.168.1.1) or use the Canon PRINT app to select your home WiFi network.
- Enter Credentials: Enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and password when prompted.
- Complete Setup: Wait for the connection to establish. The WiFi light should become solid when connected successfully.
- Test Connection: Print a test page or scan a document wirelessly to verify the connection.
