Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, insert PG-245 (black) and CL-246 (color) cartridges into respective slots.
  2. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in input tray, load up to 60 sheets of plain paper.
  3. Connect power: Plug AC adapter into printer and wall outlet.
  4. Power on: Press POWER button; wait for initialization.
  5. Install software: Insert setup CD or download from Canon website; follow on-screen instructions.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer away from heat and humidity.

Wireless Setup

Connect printer to your Wi-Fi network for wireless printing.

  1. Press and hold Wi-Fi button on printer until Alarm lamp flashes.

Printing Operations
