Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface near power outlet and within Wi-Fi range.

  1. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, remove protective tape from cartridges, insert PG-240 (black) and CL-241 (color) until they click.
  2. Load paper: Adjust paper guide in rear tray, load plain paper (up to 100 sheets).
  3. Connect power: Plug power cord into printer and wall outlet.
  4. Install software: Insert setup CD-ROM or download from Canon website, follow on-screen instructions.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during setup.

Wireless Connection

Connect printer to your wireless network for wireless printing.

  1. Prepare network: Have Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password ready.
  2. Using WPS: Press and hold Wi-Fi button on printer until light flashes, then press WPS button on router within 2 minutes.
  3. Using software: Run setup software on computer, select wireless connection, follow prompts to enter network details.
  4. Verify connection: Wi-Fi indicator light should be solid blue when connected.

CAUTION! Ensure printer is within range of wireless router. Avoid obstacles like walls or metal objects.

Printing Documents & Photos

Print from computer, smartphone, or tablet.

  1. Ensure printer is on and connected (wireless or USB).
  2. On computer: Open document, select Print, choose "Canon MG3200 series" as printer, adjust settings (paper size, quality), click Print.
  3. From smartphone: Use Canon PRINT app, select document or photo, choose print options, send to printer.
  4. Borderless photos: Select "Borderless" in print settings, use 4" x 6" photo paper.
  5. Cancel print job: Press STOP button on printer.

Tip: For best photo quality, use Canon photo paper and select "High" print quality in settings.

Scanning & Copying

Place document or photo on scanner glass face down.

  1. Scanning: Open Canon IJ Scan Utility on computer, select scan type (color, grayscale), resolution, destination, click Scan.
  2. Copying: Press physical copy button on printer, use arrow buttons to select number of copies (1-20), color or black & white, press Color or Black button to start.
  3. Adjust settings: Use LCD menu to adjust copy quality, paper size, enlargement/reduction.

WARNING! Do not force scanner lid closed on thick objects. Keep scanner glass clean.

Ink Cartridge Management

Monitor ink levels via software or LCD display.

  1. Check ink levels: Open Canon IJ Printer Utility, view ink levels under Maintenance.
  2. Replace cartridge: When ink low, open front cover, press cartridge latch, remove old cartridge, install new one until click.
  3. Align print head: After replacing cartridges, run print head alignment via software.
  4. Clean print head: If print quality declines, run nozzle check and cleaning cycles.

CAUTION! Use only Canon PG-240 and CL-241 cartridges. Do not refill or reuse cartridges.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for exterior; slightly damp cloth for stubborn stains.

  1. Clean scanner glass: Use lint-free cloth and glass cleaner; avoid spraying directly on glass.
  2. Clean paper feed rollers: Dampen cloth with water, wipe rollers inside rear paper tray.
  3. Update firmware: Check Canon website periodically for firmware updates via software.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Keep printer away from dust, heat, and humidity.
