Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • USB cable (included)
  • Power cable
  • Ink cartridges (4-color set)
  • Setup CD or download software
  • Paper for initial setup

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials, tape, and protective covers from the printer.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges: Open the front cover, wait for print head to move to center, install color and black ink cartridges.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust paper guides in rear tray, load plain paper (up to 100 sheets).
  4. Power Connection: Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet, press power button.
  5. Software Installation: Insert setup CD or download software from Canon website, follow on-screen instructions.
  6. Connect to Computer: Connect via USB cable or setup wireless connection following software prompts.
  7. Alignment and Test Print: Run print head alignment and print test page to verify installation.
Warning: Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight.
