Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • USB cable (if connecting via USB)
  • Ethernet cable (for network setup)
  • Power cable
  • Ink cartridges (provided)
  • Setup CD or downloaded drivers

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials and tape from the printer.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges: Open the front cover and install the provided ink cartridges according to color indicators.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust the paper guides and load plain paper into the paper tray.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the printer and plug into a power outlet.
  5. Connect to Computer: Connect via USB cable or set up wireless connection using the control panel.
  6. Install Drivers: Install printer drivers from the provided CD or download from Canon website.
  7. Test Print: Print a test page to verify proper installation and alignment.
Warning: Do not touch the print head or ink nozzles. Keep the printer on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't power on Power cable not connected, power outlet issue Check power connections, try different outlet

Error Codes

  • E27 / E28: Scanner error - Restart printer, check for obstructions
  • B200: Fatal error - Contact Canon service center
