Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • USB cable (if connecting via USB)
  • Power cable
  • Ink cartridges (PG-240 / CL-241)
  • Setup CD or downloaded drivers
  • Wireless network information (SSID and password)

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials and tape from the printer.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges: Open the front cover and install the black and color ink cartridges in their respective slots.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust the paper guides and load plain paper into the rear paper tray.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the printer and plug into a power outlet.
  5. Install Print Head: The print head will automatically move to the installation position. Follow on-screen instructions.
  6. Connect to Computer: Connect via USB cable or set up wireless connection using the WPS button or manual setup.
  7. Install Software: Install the printer software from the included CD or download from Canon's website.
  8. Test Print: Print a test page to verify proper installation and alignment.
Warning: Do not touch the print head or ink cartridge nozzles. Keep the printer on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight.
