Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • USB cable (included)
  • Power cable
  • Ink cartridges (CMYK)
  • Setup CD or downloaded drivers
  • Wireless network credentials

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack and Prepare: Remove all packaging materials and tape from the printer. Place on a flat, stable surface near power outlet.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges: Open the ink cover and insert the color and black ink cartridges into their respective slots until they click into place.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust the paper guides in the paper cassette and load plain paper. Ensure paper is aligned properly.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the printer and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Driver Installation: Insert the setup CD or download drivers from Canon website. Follow on-screen instructions.
  6. Connectivity Setup: Choose USB or wireless connection. For wireless, select your network and enter password when prompted.
  7. Test Print: Print a test page to verify installation was successful and check print quality.
Warning: Do not touch the print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
