Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near a power outlet.

Remove all packaging tape and protective materials from printer exterior and interior.

Installing Ink Cartridges

Insert black cartridge into left slot, color cartridge into right slot until click.
Close front cover; printer will initialize (may take several minutes).

CAUTION! Use only Canon PG-245 (black) and CL-246 (color) cartridges. Do not refill or reuse.

Connecting to Network

Connect printer to your Wi-Fi network for wireless printing.

Press Wi-Fi button on printer; use arrows on control panel to select network setup.
Choose your Wi-Fi network from list; enter password using control panel.
For WPS: Press and hold Wi-Fi button until light flashes, then press router's WPS button within 2 minutes.
