Unpacking and Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all tape and protective materials from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Connect power cord: Plug into printer and wall outlet.
  3. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, wait for print head to move to center, insert cartridges as labeled.
  4. Load paper: Adjust rear paper guide, insert paper print-side down into rear tray.
  5. Install software: Insert CD or download from Canon website, follow on-screen instructions.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during setup.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts from installation software.

  1. Align print head: Use printer driver or control panel to start alignment after ink installation.
  2. Connect to computer: Use USB cable or set up wireless connection.
  3. Test print: Print a nozzle check pattern to verify ink flow and alignment.

Printer Controls and Indicators

Loading Paper and Ink

Paper: Rear tray. Ink: Front access door.

  1. Turn on printer.
  2. For paper: Slide rear guide to paper width, insert stack print-side down, adjust guide snugly.
  3. For ink: Open front cover, wait for carriage to stop, press cartridge lock lever, insert new cartridge firmly until click.
  4. Close cover; printer will prepare ink system (may take a minute).

Tip: Always use genuine Canon paper and ink for best results and to avoid damage.

Printing from Computer

Supports documents, photos, web pages.

  1. Ensure printer is on and connected (USB or Wi-Fi).
  2. Open document or image, select File > Print.
  3. Select "Canon TS200 series" as printer.
  4. Adjust settings: Media type, print quality, paper size, borderless (if applicable).
  5. Click Print; monitor printer status via driver or indicator lights.
  6. For photos: Use My Image Garden or other photo software for enhanced color management.

WARNING! Do not open covers or remove paper during printing.

Wireless Setup

Connect printer to Wi-Fi network for wireless printing.

  1. Press and hold Wi-Fi button on printer until POWER lamp flashes white.
  2. On computer or mobile device, connect to printer's temporary network (SSID: "Canon TS200 series").
  3. Open browser, enter "http://canon.setup/" or use Canon PRINT app.
  4. Select your home network, enter password, follow prompts to complete setup.
  5. POWER lamp stops flashing when connected.

Note: For WPS setup, press Wi-Fi button, then press WPS button on router within 2 minutes.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning exterior. Use soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids.

Print Head Cleaning: If print quality declines (streaks, missing lines), run head cleaning via printer driver (Maintenance tab). Use deep cleaning only if standard fails.

Nozzle Check: Print pattern to diagnose clogged nozzles.

CAUTION! Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners. Store printer in clean, dry place.
