Unpacking and Initial Setup

Remove printer and all accessories from packaging.

  1. Place printer on a flat, stable surface near power outlet and within Wi-Fi range.
  2. Remove all tapes and protective materials from printer exterior and interior.
  3. Open scanner unit and remove protective materials from glass and cartridge area.
  4. Close scanner unit after inspection.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Handle with care to avoid damage.

Installing Ink Cartridges

Install provided setup cartridges before first use.

  1. Turn on printer (POWER button). Wait until print head moves to center.
  2. Open ink cartridge cover. Cartridge holder moves to replacement position.
  3. Remove cartridges from packaging. Remove protective tape.
  4. Insert Black (PG-275) into left slot, Color (CL-276) into right slot. Press until click.
  5. Close ink cartridge cover. Printer will begin initial ink charging (approx. 2 minutes).

CAUTION! Do not turn off printer during ink charging. Use only Canon Genuine ink cartridges.

Connecting to Power and Computer

Tip: For wireless setup, USB connection may not be required if using Wi-Fi setup.

Wireless Setup

Connect printer to your wireless network.

  1. Press and hold Wi-Fi button on printer until alarm lamp flashes once.
  2. Use WPS button on router (within 2 minutes) OR use Canon PRINT app for guided setup.
  3. For manual setup: On printer display, navigate to Wireless LAN setup > Select network > Enter password.
  4. Wi-Fi Direct: Press and hold Wi-Fi button until alarm lamp flashes twice for direct device connection.

Note: Ensure router is on and Wi-Fi signal is strong. Network name (SSID) and password required.

Driver and Software Installation

Install software for full functionality.

  1. Windows/macOS: Insert setup CD or download from Canon website. Run setup.exe or .dmg file.
  2. Follow on-screen instructions: Select connection type (USB/Wireless), agree to license agreement.
  3. When prompted, connect printer via USB or select wireless printer detected on network.
  4. Complete installation and print test page to verify.
  5. Mobile Devices: Install Canon PRINT app from App Store or Google Play Store.

CAUTION! Do not disconnect during installation. Ensure computer meets system requirements.

Printing from Various Devices

Supports multiple printing methods.

  1. Computer: Open document, select Print, choose PIXMA TS3522 as printer.
  2. Smartphone/Tablet (Canon PRINT app): Open app, select photos/documents, print.
  3. iOS (AirPrint): Open document, tap Share > Print, select TS3522.
  4. Android (Mopria): Enable Mopria Print Service in settings, select print option.
  5. Cloud Services: Use Canon PRINT app to print from Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

Tip: Load paper in rear tray (face down, adjust guide). Select correct paper size in print settings.

Copying and Scanning

Copying: Place document face down on glass or in ADF (if equipped). Use printer buttons to select color/B&W, number of copies, press Color or Black Copy button.

Scanning to Computer: Install Canon software (MP Driver+ScanGear). Place document, open scanning software on computer, select scan settings, press Scan button on printer.

Scanning to Mobile: Use Canon PRINT app, select Scan, place document, press Scan button on printer.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Unplug printer before cleaning exterior. Use soft, dry cloth; avoid liquids.

  1. Print Head Cleaning: If print quality declines, run nozzle check from printer software or via printer menu (Maintenance > Clean Print Head).
  2. Paper Jam Clearance: Turn off printer, open rear cover, gently remove jammed paper.
  3. Scanner Glass: Clean with soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water.

WARNING! Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners. Do not touch ink nozzles.
