Unpacking and Setup

Remove all packaging materials and tape from printer.

1. Place printer on flat, stable surface near power outlet.
2. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
3. Press POWER button to turn on printer.
4. Follow on-screen prompts to select language and region.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during setup.

Installing Ink Cartridges

Use only Canon PG-275 (black) and CL-276 (color) cartridges.

1. Open front cover; print head carrier moves to center.
2. Remove cartridge from packaging; gently remove protective tape.
3. Insert black cartridge into left slot, color into right slot until click.
4. Close front cover; printer will initialize cartridges (takes ~2 minutes).

CAUTION! Do not turn off printer during initialization. Install cartridges immediately after unpacking.

Loading Paper

Supports plain paper, photo paper, envelopes.

1. Pull out paper support and extension.
2. Adjust paper guide to paper width.
3. Load paper print side down, short edge first.
4. Do not exceed paper limit mark (approx. 100 sheets plain paper).
5. For envelopes: Use rear feed slot with flap side down.

Tip: Fan paper before loading to prevent sticking.

Wireless Connection Setup

Connect printer to your Wi-Fi network.

1. Press and hold Wi-Fi button until alarm lamp flashes once.
2. Use WPS: Press router's WPS button within 2 minutes.
