Unpacking and Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all tape and packaging materials from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, insert cartridges (black, cyan, magenta, yellow) until they click.
  3. Load paper: Adjust rear paper guide, insert up to 100 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during installation.

Initial Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Language/Region: Select language, country, and time zone on LCD.
  2. Align Print Head: Printer will automatically perform alignment after cartridge installation.

Printing and Scanning

Print from computer, mobile device, or memory card (via optional card reader).

  1. Printing: Select document, choose "Canon TR4660 series" as printer, adjust settings (paper type, quality, duplex).
  2. Scanning: Place document on flatbed or in ADF, press [Scan] on LCD, select destination (computer, email, USB).
  3. Copying: Place original, press [Copy], select number of copies, color mode, paper size.
  4. Faxing: Load document, press [Fax], dial number using keypad, press [Start].
  5. Mobile Printing: Install Canon PRINT app, connect to same Wi-Fi, select photo or document to print.

WARNING! Do not open covers during printing/scanning. Use recommended paper to avoid jams.

Maintenance

Replace ink cartridges when LCD indicates low ink. Run nozzle check and head cleaning if print quality declines.

  1. Replace Cartridge: Open front cover, press old cartridge to release, insert new one until click.
  2. Clean Print Head: LCD > [Maintenance] > [Clean Print Head].
  3. Align Print Head: LCD > [Maintenance] > [Align Print Head].
  4. Clean Exterior: Use soft, dry cloth; avoid alcohol or solvents.

CAUTION! Use only genuine Canon ink cartridges. Do not turn off printer during cleaning cycle.
