Unpacking & Contents

Carefully unpack the printer and verify all components are present.

  1. Remove all tape and protective materials from the printer exterior and interior.
  2. Confirm contents: Printer, Power cord, Setup CD-ROM, Ink cartridges (PG-47 & CL-57), Quick Start Guide.
  3. Place the printer on a stable, flat surface near a power outlet and within range of your computer/Wi-Fi router.

WARNING! Do not touch the print head or ink cartridge nozzles. Handle cartridges by their colored grips only.

Hardware Setup

Prepare the printer for first use.

  1. Connect the power cord to the printer and plug into an AC outlet. Press the POWER button.
  2. Open the front cover. The print head carrier moves to the center.
  3. Install ink cartridges: Remove tape, insert Black (PG-47) into left slot, Color (CL-57) into right slot until they click.
  4. Close the front cover. The printer will begin initial setup and cleaning (may take several minutes).

CAUTION! Keep the printer power on during ink installation. Do not force cartridges.

Software & Driver Installation

Install necessary software for full functionality.

Connecting to Your Network

Establish a connection for wireless printing.

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the alarm lamp flashes once, then release.
  2. WPS Method: Press the WPS button on your wireless router within 2 minutes. The Wi-Fi lamp on the printer will flash, then stay lit when connected.
  3. Standard Setup: Use the installer software on your computer. Select "Wireless LAN Connection" and follow the guided setup to select your network and enter the password.
  4. Confirm connection: Print a network configuration report from the printer software to verify the IP address.

Tip: Place the printer within range of your router for a stable signal.

Loading Paper & Installing Ink

Load paper and manage ink supplies.

Loading Paper:

  1. Pull out the paper support from the rear tray and extend the output tray.
  2. Adjust the paper guide to fit your paper size. Load up to 60 sheets of plain paper (print side down).
  3. Do not overload. Ensure the paper guide is snug against the stack.

Ink Cartridge Information:

Basic Printing Operations

Perform standard printing tasks.

  1. Ensure printer is on, connected, and has paper/ink.
  2. From your application (e.g., Word, Chrome), select File > Print.
  3. Choose "Canon TS200 series" as the printer.
  4. Select print settings: Paper size, Type, Quality (Standard or High), Color/B&W, Number of copies.
  5. Click Print. The printer will process and output your document.
  6. For photo printing, use genuine Canon Photo Paper and select the appropriate media type in settings for best results.

WARNING! Do not open covers or remove paper during printing.

Mobile & Cloud Printing

Print from smartphones and tablets.

Canon PRINT App: Download from App Store or Google Play. Open the app, add your TS202 printer, and print photos/documents/web pages.

Apple AirPrint: Ensure printer and iOS device are on the same Wi-Fi network. Select Print from the Share menu in any app.

Mopria Print Service (Android): Enable on compatible Android devices for driverless printing.

Cloud Services: Connect your printer to Canon PRINT for access to cloud storage printing (requires app setup).

Maintenance & Care

Keep your printer in optimal condition.

Unplug the printer before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use alcohol or solvents.

Print Head Alignment: Run alignment via printer software if prints are misaligned or blurry.

Nozzle Check: Print a test pattern from the maintenance tab to check for clogged nozzles. Run a cleaning cycle if needed.

Storage: If not using for extended periods, leave cartridges installed and store in a cool, dry place.

CAUTION! Never turn off the printer during a cleaning cycle. Dispose of used cartridges according to local regulations.

Troubleshooting
