Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface near computer.

  1. Remove all tape and packing materials from printer.
  2. Install ink cartridges: Open cover, remove protective tape from cartridges, insert black and color cartridges into respective slots until they click.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in rear tray, insert up to 100 sheets of plain paper.
  4. Connect power: Plug power adapter into printer and wall outlet.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts on computer.

  1. Install software: Insert Setup CD-ROM, run installer, follow prompts.
