Unpacking and Setup

Remove printer from box and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all tape and packaging materials from inside and outside the printer.
  2. Connect power cord: Plug into AC outlet and printer's power port.
  3. Turn on printer using power button on control panel.
  4. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in rear tray for correct size.
  5. Install ink cartridges (see next section).

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer horizontal during setup.

Installing Ink Cartridges

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Open cartridge cover: Located on front right side.
  2. Wait for cartridge holder to move to replacement position.
  3. Remove new cartridge from packaging, gently remove protective tape.
  4. Insert black cartridge (PG-275) into left slot, color cartridge (CL-276) into right slot until click.
  5. Close cartridge cover; printer will begin initial ink charging (approx. 2 minutes).

CAUTION! Do not turn off printer during ink charging. Use only genuine Canon cartridges.

Control Panel and Settings

Control Panel: POWER, STOP, Color copy button, Black copy button, Wi-Fi button, Information button.

OLED Display: Shows status, menu options, error messages. Navigate with arrow buttons, select with OK.

Menu Settings: Device settings (Language, Paper size, Quiet mode), Wireless LAN setup, Print head alignment, Ink levels, Reset settings. Copy settings: Number of copies, Darkness, Paper size, Reduce/Enlarge. Scan settings: Scan destination, Resolution, File format.

Connecting to Devices

USB: Connect directly to computer via USB cable. Wi-Fi: Connect to wireless network for wireless printing.

  1. Press Wi-Fi button on control panel until lamp flashes.
  2. On computer/mobile device, install Canon drivers or Canon PRINT app.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to connect printer to your network.
  4. For WPS: Press and hold Wi-Fi button, then press WPS button on router within 2 minutes.

Tip: Ensure printer and device are on same Wi-Fi network for wireless printing.

Printing and Scanning

Supports documents, photos, envelopes.

  1. Printing: Select file, choose Canon TS 3520 as printer, adjust settings (paper type, quality, duplex).
  2. Copying: Place document face down on scanner glass, press Color or Black copy button.
  3. Scanning: Place document, use Canon PRINT app or computer software to scan to file/email.
  4. Borderless Printing: Select "Borderless" in print settings for photo paper.
  5. Mobile Printing: Use AirPrint (iOS) or Canon PRINT app (Android/iOS) to print from smartphone.

WARNING! Do not open cover during printing/scanning. Use recommended paper to avoid jams.

Maintenance

Print Head Cleaning: Via printer software or control panel menu if print quality declines. Nozzle Check: Print test pattern to verify ink ejection. Deep Cleaning: Use only if standard cleaning fails (consumes more ink).

CAUTION! Perform cleaning only when necessary. Allow printer to complete cleaning cycle.
