Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • USB cable (Type-A to Type-B)
  • Power cable
  • Ink cartridges (provided)
  • Setup CD or downloaded drivers
  • Network cable (for wired setup)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials and tape from the printer and accessories.
  2. Install Ink Cartridges: Open the front cover, wait for print head to move to center, and install the provided ink cartridges.
  3. Load Paper: Adjust the paper guides in the rear tray and load plain paper.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the printer and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Computer Connection: Connect via USB cable or set up wireless connection using the control panel.
  6. Install Software: Insert setup CD or download drivers from Canon website and follow on-screen instructions.
  7. Test Print: Print a test page to verify proper installation and alignment.
Warning: Do not touch the print head or electrical contacts. Keep ink cartridges in original packaging until ready to install.

Troubleshooting
