Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and tapes from printer.
  2. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, insert PG-245 black and CL-246 color cartridges.
  3. Load paper: Pull out rear paper feed, adjust guides, load up to 100 sheets.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.
  5. Install print head and align as prompted on LCD.

WARNING! Do not touch print head or ink cartridge contacts. Keep printer level during setup.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts on LCD.

  1. Language selection: Choose ENGLISH (default) from setup menu.
  2. Date and time: Set current date/time for fax function.
  3. Wireless setup: Use WPS or manual method to connect to Wi-Fi network.

  4. For USB: Connect USB cable to computer and printer, install drivers.
  5. Install Canon PRINT app on mobile device for wireless printing/scanning.

Tip: Place printer within range of Wi-Fi router for stable connection.

Printing & Scanning

Supports documents, photos, envelopes, labels.

  1. Print from computer: Select "Canon TR4500 series" as printer, adjust settings in print dialog.
  2. Print from mobile: Use Canon PRINT app, select photo/document, choose printer.
  3. Scan to computer: Place document on glass or in ADF, press SCAN button or use software.
