Installation & Unpacking

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near power outlet.

  1. Remove all tape and packaging materials from printer exterior and interior.
  2. Install ink tanks: Open ink tank cover, remove caps, insert tanks (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) until they click.
  3. Load paper: Adjust paper guides in cassette, load plain paper.
  4. Connect power cord to printer and wall outlet.

WARNING! Do not touch printhead or ink tank contacts. Keep printer horizontal during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on printer; follow on-screen prompts on LCD.

  1. Initial ink charging: Printer will prepare ink system (may take several minutes).

Printing & Scanning Operations
