Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a flat, stable surface near a power outlet.

  1. Install ink cartridges: Open front cover, remove protective tape from cartridges, insert into holders until they click.
  2. Load paper: Adjust paper guides, place paper in rear tray, extend output tray.
  3. Connect power: Plug power cord into printer and wall outlet.
  4. Install software: Insert CD or download drivers from Canon website, follow on-screen instructions.
